Highly recommend Music City K9 Training. We have now had 2 dogs go through training. Chris uses only positive reinforcement while training our dogs. He is personable and not only trained our dogs, but became our friend. Before Chris began training our Australian Shepherd, she was scared of everything and wouldn’t listen to any commands. The confidence he taught her has made her a brave, obedient, and confident companion.Posted on Google![]()

Chris was amazing with our new shelter dog. Our dog came to us scared and a bit aggressive with zero past training. Chris worked wonders with him and we are very pleased with his progress!Posted on Google![]()

Chris was great with our Great Pyrenees, Winston! When we first started, Winston wouldn’t even sit on command - now he listens and I feel confident handling a bigger dog!! Thanks Chris!Posted on Google![]()

Best dog trainer in the U.S. (I have lived 10 years in Maryland, 2 years Florida, and 10 years in Texas) this guy is the best I have had and the most generous person any dog could meetPosted on Google![]()

We can't say enough good things about Chris Steele at Music City K9 Training. We enrolled in the in-home obedience program for our two rescue dogs (ages 9 and 10) after they recently began living together due to family circumstances. The transition was extremely challenging, and we were struggling to help them adjust. Chris gave us the tools to establish clear roles, structure, and communication within our home. The results were remarkable. One of our dogs overcame severe car anxiety and found a love for loose leash walks, while the other discovered a love for learning new tricks and significantly improved his impulse control. Throughout the program, we learned practical skills that have made a huge difference in our daily lives, including greeting visitors calmly at the door, walking confidently through crowds, responding to commands from a distance, and so much more. What stood out most was Chris's positive, reward-based approach. He never relied on intimidation or punishment. Instead, he focused on building confidence—for both the dogs and their humans. Every lesson was tailored to our specific situation, and he took the time to ensure we understood not just what to do, but why it worked. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, patient, and highly effective trainer, we highly recommend Chris Steele and Music City K9. The investment has been absolutely worth it, and our dogs—and our household—are happier because of it.Posted on Google![]()

Chris was wonderful! He worked with us and our dog on basic obedience and introducing him to our cat. Chris was enthusiastic and his processes were always focused on positivity. Our dog went from a case of selective hearing to listening even when there was something way more interesting. Thank you Chris for training US as well as our boy!Posted on Google![]()

We had the best experience working with Chris! After just the first session, we already saw huge progress. He really took the time to understand Rocki and explain everything in a way we actually understood. Before working with him, it was so hard to take Rocki out in public, walks weren’t enjoyable at all, and having people over was almost impossible because he would bark, lunge, and scare everyone off. I never would’ve thought my dog could run around at a dog park or walk calmly around others, but thanks to Chris we can now take Rocki out comfortably and confidently. He’s made such a difference for us and our dog and I highly recommend him!Posted on Google![]()

My brother and I have had two dogs the last 5 years and we moved to Nashville from Los Angeles and rescued a dog along the way across country. Our dogs were having a rough time adjusting with the new dog and we desperately needed help for general obedience with our other dogs and we found Chris and made the transition so much easier. We loved the way he worked with our animals and was so kind and helped us better to understand them and their needs. If you need help training your dogs, even if you’ve had them for a few years, it’s never too late to use positive reinforcement and make them a happier dog and your life easier. Chris is wonderful and if you need help with your pups he is the absolute best!!❤️
